To Celebrate a Cherished Life:
Kendal Smith was everyone's friend, but she felt more like everyone's sister and daughter, like a loving and caring family member. She was not only incredibly talented, but always had that sweet grace that touched all of us. She was kind and encouraging of others, and showed amazing maturity in her artwork and her life. We will remember her sweet little smile, all of the artwork, the laughs, and the challenges we shared. She will forever be with us as an artist and friend who made us all better for sharing her life with us.

Kendal Smith
February 5, 1988 - March 17, 2004
Kendal was the daughter of Pat and Susan Smith, Crittenden, Ky. and was a sophomore at Walton-Verona High School. She was an excellent student, an incredible artist, and loved soccer.  She inheirited her loving and compassionate nature from her devoted parents, Susan and Pat.  She passed away from complications from surgery. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to her parents, family and friends.

Fly
Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the winds of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forever more
But hold this memory bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light
